QUAVETS-project

The aim of the project Quality in the Vocational Education and Training Systems is to bring together a diverse and rich range of experience and expertise from six countries; from Norway, Iceland, UK, Spain, Portugal and Lithuania to address the concept of quality of education and training – quality indicators, in four study programs; in Construction, Tourism, Social Care and Health and Food and Restaurant.  

The focus will be on; a) the experience and the view of the students about quality, b) quality expectations of  employers in our field of study, c) teachers definitions of quality, d) and the views of  work place instructors about quality. 

The expectations of the group is to evaluate and reconsider quality indicator’s within our four study sectors. The revision of indicators will help us to increase effectiveness and transparency, recognition and mobility within and across countries concerning common competences of a skilled worker and a way to diminish or scale down the gap between providers of education in work place learning and school based learning. The outcome of the project will lead the way to a further development and implementation of quality indicators in our four VET-systems
