Partners

The partners of the SOFIA project are six. The project is managed by IDAN vocational centre as the innovation to be transferred is from CNA-CEFAG school in Paris France. The manager of the project is Björn M. Sigurjónsson bjorn@idan.is

Partner 1

Borgarholtsskóli is a new comprehensive secondary school in Iceland, on the outskirts of Reykjavik. BHS offers a variety of courses, three academic programs, multimedia design program, media and information technology, four vocational programs, two preparatory courses for secondary school entrance, special education program, social services and commerce. All courses are offered on a unit-credit basis. In the SOFIA project Borgarholtsskóli will be developing a programme for Photoshop for visual media.

Partner 2

Flensborgarskóli is an upper secondary comprehensive school, based on a unit-credit system with five main lines of study. One of them being multimedia techniques and journalism. IT and Multimedia studies train persons for further studies in the field. In the SOFIA project the Flensborgarskóli will develop a programme in composition and aesthetics.

Partner 3

Tækniskólinn is one of the biggest vocational and upper secondary schools in Iceland a little over a 100 years old. The school offers 35 programmes of study one of them being IT technology and multimedia study. The school works in close collaboration with local vocational councils and the partners of the labour market. The school offers a vocational program in prepress, graphic media and printing aimed at preparing student for a vocational career in these fields. In the SOFIA project the Tækniskóli will be developing a programme in Tyopography for prepress.

Partner 4

Instituto Tecnologica de Aragon is a non-profit organisation training adults and continous learners in the workforce. The institution works in close collaboration with local businesses in supplying courses and training in the relevant fields of technology and skills. The ITA will develop a course in Innovation management for local businesses in the SOFIA project.

Partner 5

CNA CEFAG is a vocational training centre offering initial and continous educational programs, specialising in the fields of graphic arts and multimedia. The centre is located in Paris in the region of Ile de France. The CNA CEFAG has developed its own platform of open and distance learning which proposes programmes of graphic arts and multimedia as well as modules of introductive training. In the SOFIA project the CNA CEFAG is the source of the innovation to be transferred to Spain and Iceland.
