All drivers with licenses in categories C, C1, D, and D1 who wish to maintain their professional qualifications. This course is part of the core training courses that everyone is required to take. Here, drivers can review their status regarding courses. If no courses appear, there are no active courses or they have not been registered by the course providers.
Objective:
The goal is for the driver to be familiar with key aspects of laws and regulations regarding goods and passenger transport, and the use of large vehicles as professional tools, as well as to understand the driver's responsibility for the condition and use of the vehicle at all times.
Description:
Professional drivers operating vehicles in categories C, C1, D, and D1 must complete five refresher courses in the last five years for renewal to obtain the code 95 on their license. There is a significant responsibility placed on drivers of large vehicles, and the purpose of the courses is to strengthen professional drivers as a trade and increase road safety. The code 95 allows drivers to operate within the EEA area. More information can be found on the website of the Icelandic Transport Agency.
