Iðan offers courses for people working in the building and construction trades; Carpentry, cabinetmaking, painting, masonry, plumbing, wallpapering, floor laying, and horticulture. Special emphasis is placed on disseminating the latest knowledge and technology in the trades. The leader of the building and construction trades is Ólafur Ástgeirsson.
