Journeyman's Examination in Automotive Trades

Please note that applications for the journeyman's examination will not be accepted after the application deadline has passed. If you encounter any problems during registration, you can send an email to [email protected] to register. The email must include the trade, the name and national ID number of the examinee, and their email address. It must also include the national ID number, name, and email address of the master craftsman and the company.

When can I apply for a journeyman's examination?

• You must have completed your digital logbook
• You must have graduated from school or be in your final semester of vocational training and graduate before taking the journeyman's examination.

What documents do I need to submit with my application for a journeyman's examination?

According to the regulation on journeyman's examinations, it is necessary to submit the following documents:

• Confirmation that the digital logbook is complete.
• A graduation certificate from the school with grades or confirmation that you will graduate during the current semester and before taking the journeyman's examination.
• Confirmation from a master craftsman on the application for a journeyman's examination

Are you not using a digital logbook but have an apprenticeship contract under the old system?

• Then you need to send a pension fund statement with your application to confirm your working hours.

Once the application deadline has passed, the applicant will receive a letter with information about the examination location, date, and licence and material fees where applicable.

An examinee who requests special accommodations for the journeyman's examination must contact Iðan's study and career counsellor.
