No one can avoid learning to use artificial intelligence
Róbert Bjarnason, an expert in artificial intelligence, is the guest in the latest coffee chat from Augnablik in Industry.
“I see great opportunities in improving decision-making,” says Róbert Bjarnason, an expert in artificial intelligence, about its main benefits for Icelandic industry and business in the latest coffee chat from Augnablik í iðnaði.
Róbert says there are great possibilities in using artificial intelligence in life and work. It can be used to work faster and better, and it is no longer a complicated and time-consuming task to create business and operational plans, make presentations, or work creatively with images and text. “No one can avoid learning to use artificial intelligence. Does it pay to know how to use a phone? To understand what electricity is? To use the internet?” says Róbert, adding that artificial intelligence is already tightly woven into our daily lives.
Róbert has over 30 years of experience in artificial intelligence, and the production of computer games, web systems, films, and music. At the end of September, Róbert will teach two short and very practical courses for the Iðan Education Centre. The first course, which begins on September 5th, deals with image processing using artificial intelligence technology. Tools such as MidJourney, Dall-e, StableDiffusion, and Photoshop will be used. The basics of writing prompts to create images will be covered.
In the second course, which begins on September 26th, the focus will be on text processing, and Róbert will teach good methods for using chatbots in writing and brainstorming. The possibilities of using ChatGPT in Icelandic will be specifically addressed. “It's my experience that people are quick to learn AI, as these are very accessible systems. It benefits people to go into depth and learn to give good commands so that the AI is more useful to them, and that's what I'm going to help people with in these courses.”
