Hiring the right employee
Katrín Dóra Þorsteinsdóttir is a management and business consultant at Projects and helps companies, among other things, to hire the right employees.
When hiring is on the horizon, it's important to use a structured process, put effort into analysis, and adopt disciplined work methods throughout the entire recruitment process.
There can sometimes be a tendency to rush the hiring process, but Katarín Dóra advises against it. She also points out that recruitment is a form of marketing and promotional activity for a company, and therefore it is extremely important to part with applicants on good terms, for example, by responding to all applications. Behind every application is a person who has shown interest in the company, and that should be respected.
But what if you get the feeling that the employee is not up to the job? Get the answer to that and other questions in the podcast.
