IÐAN now offers international certification for the refrigeration and freezer industry. A step towards reducing global warming, says Kristján Kristjánsson, Head of the Metal and Mechanical Engineering Division at IÐAN.
“The certification ensures that employees and companies in the refrigeration industry work according to recognised procedures so that toxins are not released into the atmosphere,” says Kristján. He believes that great opportunities open up for employees by obtaining the certification, as it is not only valid in Iceland but also in Europe. IÐAN is the implementing body but then sends the assessment to the Environment Agency of Iceland, which issues the certification.
