IÐAN education centre recently graduated eight housekeepers who met the competency standards for housekeeping in Iceland. The housekeepers are all from Poland and have lived here for several years. The project is part of VISKA – a pilot project on the validation of prior learning for immigrants.
The competency standards were developed in cooperation with the industry and include a job description and requirements.
