Announcement of Journeyman's Examination

Journeyman's examinations in the following trades will be held as follows, provided there is sufficient participation:

• In culinary arts, waiting, baking, and butchery in May/June. The application deadline is 1 April.
• In construction trades in May/June. The application deadline is 1 April.
• In sheet metal work in May/June. The application deadline is 1 April.
• In mechanics from 15-17 September. The application deadline is 1 July.
• In fishing gear technology in May. The application deadline is 1 April.
• In steel fabrication from 30 August - 1 September. The application deadline is 15 June.
• In cosmetology in September/October. The application deadline is 15 August.
• In hairdressing in September/October. The application deadline is 15 August.
• In coachbuilding and car painting in May/June. The application deadline is 1 April.
• In auto mechanics in September. The application deadline is 1 July.
• In design and craft trades in May and June. The application deadline is 1 April.

More detailed dates will be published on the Iðan Education Centre website as soon as they are available.

With the application, you must submit a copy of your apprenticeship contract, a pension fund statement or a confirmation from your school from the electronic portfolio, and a graduation certificate with grades or a confirmation from the school that the student will graduate in May 2023.

The cost for examinees, such as material costs, varies between trades.
