Announcement of Journeyman's Examination

Journeyman's examinations in the following trades will be held as follows, provided there is sufficient participation:

• In cooking, waiting, baking, and butchery in May/June. The application deadline is 1 April.
• In building trades in May/June. The application deadline is 1 April.
• In sheet metal work in June. The application deadline is 15 April.
• In mechanics in September. The application deadline is 1 July.
• In fishing gear technology in May/June. The application deadline is 1 April.
• In steel construction in June. The application deadline is 15 April.
• In cosmetology in October. The application deadline is 15 August.
• In hairdressing in September/October. The application deadline is 1 July.
• In auto body repair and auto painting in June. The application deadline is 1 April.
• In auto mechanics in September. The application deadline is 1 July.
• In design and craft trades in June. The application deadline is 1 May.

More detailed dates will be published on the Iðan Education Centre website as soon as they are available.

The application must be accompanied by a copy of the apprenticeship contract, a pension fund statement or a confirmation from the school from the electronic logbook, and a graduation certificate with grades or a confirmation from the school that the student will graduate in May 2024.
