Today, the headquarters of the company VHE are at Melabraut 21-27 in Hafnarfjörður, in a total of 5 buildings.
VHE is a family company founded in 1971 by the couple Hjalti Einarsson and Kristjóna Jóhannesdóttir. For a long time, the business was mostly run from a shed on the couple's property on Suðurgata in Hafnarfjörður.
In 1995, their eldest son took over the business, and a significant expansion of the company began. Today, the company specialises in servicing machinery and equipment for heavy industry. VHE also operates a construction division. The range of tradespeople is therefore broad, and the training needs are diverse, both in Reykjavík and in East Iceland.
VHE therefore recently went through the project 'Training Manager for Hire'. "The main goal of the project was to get a comprehensive overview of the training needs and to plan the training activities for the future," says Guðrún Blandon, Human Resources Manager.
