Director of Knowledge Development

IÐAN Education Centre is looking for a driven and forward-thinking manager to lead the Knowledge Development department. If you have a burning passion for education, this could be the job for you.
The Head of Department leads IÐAN's team of leaders, who develop education for the industrial sectors that IÐAN serves and work on international projects. The Head of Department reports to the Managing Director of IÐAN and is a member of the company's executive board.
Main tasks
- Shape and implement strategy in educational matters and ensure outstanding quality of education
- Lead development and innovation in educational offerings, including digital education, technology in industry, inclusion, and other growth opportunities
- Manage and support a team of experts in industrial sectors and international projects
- Prepare and follow up on the department's implementation and operational plans
- Work closely with the marketing and sales department on communicating information to target groups
Education and skill requirements
- University education relevant to the position
- Knowledge of pedagogy and experience in educational work
- Successful management experience and leadership skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Good proficiency in Icelandic and English, both spoken and written
- Knowledge of industrial sectors is an advantage
