Four new internationally certified electric vehicle courses
IÐAN Education Centre will soon be offering four new internationally certified courses related to the handling of and work on electric vehicles at level three. In the future, it may be possible to add level four.
Recently, there has been a great need for professional courses on the maintenance and repair of electric vehicles. IÐAN Education Centre will soon be offering four courses at 3 levels, and in the future, IÐAN may add a fourth-level course. The levels are all well-defined and tailored to specific groups. The courses conclude with a digital, oral and/or practical exam.

Level 1 Course – General Handling of Electric and Hybrid Vehicles
Participants gain a basic knowledge of safe working practices and the dangers associated with electric and hybrid vehicles. This course is for those who do not necessarily have a technical background but work in an environment where contact and interaction with electric vehicles is to some extent unavoidable. Examples of such jobs include: foremen, salespeople, parts salespeople, claims adjusters, service representatives or individuals working in car cleaning.
The course is about ½–1 day long.
Level 2.1 Course – First Responder Intervention with Electric and Hybrid Vehicles, Hazard Assessment and Analysis
Participants in this course will gain the knowledge needed to work safely around electric or hybrid vehicles where high-voltage systems are or may be damaged. This course is designed for those who deal with damaged or malfunctioning electric or hybrid vehicles. Examples of such jobs include: police, firefighters, paramedics, rescue teams and employees of towing service companies.
The course is about 1–1.5 days long.
Level 2.2 Course – Regular Maintenance of Electric and Hybrid Vehicles
In this course, participants will gain the knowledge and skills needed to work safely when performing regular maintenance or repairs on electric or hybrid vehicles (not on the high-voltage system), and also if high-voltage systems are or may be faulty or damaged. This course is designed for those who perform general maintenance on electric or hybrid vehicles and repair damage or faults. Examples of such jobs: auto body mechanics, car painters and auto mechanics.
The course is about 2 days long.
Level 3 Course – Work and Repairs on the High-Voltage System of Electric and Hybrid Vehicles
In this course, participants will gain the knowledge and skills needed to work safely on electric or hybrid vehicles where high-voltage systems are or may be faulty or damaged. The participant learns about the structure of the high-voltage system and how to perform diagnostics, measurements and repairs on a disconnected high-voltage system (system disconnected from the battery). This course is designed for those who perform general maintenance on electric or hybrid vehicles and repair damage or faults. Examples of such jobs: auto body mechanics, car painters and auto mechanics.
The course is about 3 days long.
