Corporate Learning Management Systems

A platform to create and manage learning materials and courses

The company Avia began its operations in 2021. Initially, the company exclusively served businesses in the aviation industry, where there is a high demand for training and education.

Sólon Guðmundsson, the owner of Avia, says that when COVID-19 hit, the company had to find alternatives to in-person courses to deliver its training. That's when other companies started inquiring about the service, which today includes tourism companies, energy and utility companies, heavy industry, manufacturing companies, and municipalities and institutions.

The company has grown rapidly, and its leaders soon realized they needed a centralized system to manage the training. The system hosts course materials and courses and features a high degree of automation. It is easy for managers to monitor the progress of staff, who can go through the courses at their own pace and thus manage their own continuing education.

Although the foundation is a learning management system, it is also possible to get add-ons in the form of an app and a community where groups can be formed to exchange messages and discussions.

"The main advantages of the system are that it is a single system that replaces several others, it can be customized to the needs of each company, and it is simple to work with," says Sólon.
