Artificial Intelligence in the Construction Industry - Informational Meeting

This educational meeting will discuss artificial intelligence and how it affects the daily work of everyone in the construction industry. It will cover the use of AI in construction, the work of tradespeople and those who manage construction projects, as well as communication between parties, design document review, and planning. Digital design and BIM will be briefly reviewed, and AI-driven technological innovations such as robotics, drones, etc., will be discussed.

The meeting is open to all and free of charge for participants. It will also be streamed on Teams, and those who wish to follow it that way should register for distance learning.

Following the lecture, there will be a Q&A and discussion session.

The speaker is Hjörtur Sigurðsson from Mynstra. For years, he has worked on implementing digital technology in the construction industry, with a special focus on BIM, artificial intelligence, and digital workflows. Hjörtur has extensive experience working with leading contractors and engineering firms, both in Iceland and abroad, where he has played key roles in the development and implementation of technological solutions for the construction industry.
