Internet of Things - The Fourth Industrial Revolution - Live Broadcast
Our next breakfast meeting in the series on the Fourth Industrial Revolution will be about the Internet of Things (IoT). The meeting will be held on Thursday, 15 March from 8:30-10:00 at IÐAN's premises at Vatnagarðar 20.
At the meeting, Þór Jes Þórisson, Chief Technology Officer at Síminn, will answer the question: What is the Internet of Things, IoT? The discussion will cover the definition of IoT, the history of IoT, the market size for IoT, communication possibilities for IoT, and finally, some general examples of IoT in the consumer and business markets. Snæbjörn Ingi Ingólfsson, Business Manager at Origo, will then discuss the changes that IoT heralds in the near future, what is potentially about to change, and what technology we are already starting to see today. Are these threats or opportunities?
The meeting will be broadcast live on the YouTube page of IÐAN education centre
