A Lesson in Confectionery Design

A Lesson in Confectionery Design

The advertising agency VORAR was given the fun task of designing three new chocolates for Nói-Siríus. Augnablik í iðnaði was curious to know how designers approach such a challenging project that a large part of the nation presumably has an opinion on.

So we popped over to Kringlan and met Hrönn, the CEO of VORAR, and Dagný, the designer. They have worked with Nói-Siríus for a long time and know the company well.

In this informative interview, the two of them tell us about the countless factors that need to be considered in this type of design. According to them, the project requires a great deal of collaboration between the companies, and they even had to consult with the manufacturers of the machinery in Nói-Siríus's factory to make sure everything would work. Nói-Siríus presented three new flavours, and VORAR's design had to reflect them as well as possible.

Of course, we ended the interview by tasting the new chocolates that were released this autumn, which are a fantastic addition to Icelanders' chocolate selection.
