Certification Course for Structural Designers - Registration is Open
A course for construction designers seeking certification from the Icelandic Construction Authority to create master and special drawings, cf. provisions of Articles 25 and 26 of the Act on Construction No. 160/2010, will be held in February 2019. The course is taught via distance learning.
A course for construction designers seeking certification from the Icelandic Construction Authority to create general and special drawings, cf. provisions of Articles 25 and 26 of the Act on Structures No. 160/2010, will be held in February 2019 as a distance learning course. Lectures will be made available on Monday, 15 February, and will remain open until after the exam. The course concludes with an on-site electronic exam on Saturday, 23 March 2019 (all dates are subject to change).
The course fee is ISK 95,000, and ISK 60,000 for those attending the course for continuing education without an exam. The application deadline is Thursday, 7 February.
Applications must be submitted to IÐAN, completed, along with:
- a copy of the applicant's diploma
- a certificate from the Ministry of Industries and Innovation regarding the right to a professional title
- a certificate(s) of 3 years' work experience, cf. paragraph 1 of Article 26 of the Act on Structures
