IÐAN's Metal and Mechanical Engineering department holds numerous courses in welding every year, and now targeted instructional videos for professionals in the field are being added to the educational offerings.
Education doesn't just take place in on-site courses; it can take many different forms. Videos, for example, are a powerful way to share knowledge, and at IÐAN, we aim to make even better use of their advantages in our educational work. Videos can be useful as part of a traditional course or even form a complete course that students take online. Videos are also well-suited for delivering short and concise educational tidbits, which we have done quite a bit of.
Here are two examples of short instructional videos where Gústaf A. Hjaltason, IÐAN's expert in metal welding, discusses the basics of butt and fillet welding on flat iron. The videos are intended for those who are taking their first steps in metal welding as well as for professionals who work with welding.
