A large number of educational tidbits in welding for experts
Gústaf Adólf Hjaltason and Hilmar Brjánn Sigurðsson, specialists in welding, have put together a large number of useful educational tidbits about welding and various related topics.
Since COVID-19 impacted practical training almost a year ago, IÐAN Education Centre has been dedicated to producing practical instructional videos that our members and others can use alongside their work or other studies.
Now, Gústaf Adólf Hjaltason and Hilmar Brjánn Sigurðsson have put together eleven such videos on metal welding and will undoubtedly create more. Especially if they receive suggestions for good topics.
The latest videos cover the maintenance of welding machines, going over the main points in the maintenance and handling of welding machines and introducing the machine used for teaching at IÐAN Education Centre. The protective equipment used in welding is important, and one of the educational clips discusses welding helmets and their various types, as there has been significant development in the availability of such equipment. Then, fillet welding is covered. Fillet welding is one of the most common welding methods used in metal welding. The two demonstrate fillet welding with a 0.8 mm steel wire on a plate in a horizontal position (PB), using a Mechatronic 300 pulse machine.
It's safe to say that professionals can now choose from interesting educational clips about welding.
