Study visit for VET professionals

IÐAN Education Centre and the Technical College of Reykjavik are participating in an international project funded by the EEA Grants.

The EEA Grants are funded by Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein, and their objective is to reduce social and economic disparities within the European Economic Area. The project, titled “Developing inclusive vocational education aiming at social inclusion - Polish-Scandinavian exchange of experiences and good practices,” was prepared by the Municipality of Toruń and implemented in collaboration with Iðan Education Centre and Fitjar vidaregåande skule in Norway.

The main objective of the project is to improve the professional skills of participants and establish cooperation aimed at improving the quality of vocational education. The project duration is 12 months, from September 2021 to August 2022, and its total value is 99,040 euros. The project will result in the publication of a guide on good practices in inclusive vocational education and training (inclusive education in VET). Our purpose with the project is to get to know the education system and working life in Poland and Norway and to build connections.

The project includes two project meetings in Toruń and a series of three study visits in Reykjavík, Fitjar and Toruń. Iðan hosted a 3-day study visit from 30 March to 1 April 2022, welcoming a group of 21 Polish and Norwegian professionals in vocational education.

Iðan Education Centre (Iðan Vocational Education and Training Centre), in cooperation with Tækniskólinn, is participating in an international project financed by the EEA Grants. The EEA Grants, which are funded by Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein, aim to reduce social and economic disparities in the European Economic Area. The project “Developing inclusive vocational education aiming at social inclusion – Polish-Scandinavian exchange of experiences and good practices” was prepared by the Municipality of Toruń and is being implemented with the participation of Fitjar vidaregåande skule in Norway and Iðan Education Centre in Iceland from 1 September 2021 to 31 August 2022. The total value of the project is 99,040 Euros.

The main goal of the project is to improve the professional qualifications of the participants and to establish cooperation aimed at improving the quality of vocational education. The result of the project will be the publication of a guide to good practices in inclusive education. Our goal in the project is to learn about the education system and the professional environment in Poland and Norway and to build connections.

The project includes two meetings in Toruń and a series of three study visits in Reykjavík, Fitjar and Toruń.
