New Leaders at IÐAN Education Centre
Iðan Education Centre has hired two new leaders, one for the food and catering sectors and the other for the metal and mechanical engineering sectors.
Leader is a new job title within Iðan, and their role is to develop professional specialisation and educational offerings in the relevant fields.
The new leader in the food and catering fields is Sæbjörg Rut Guðmundsdóttir, a master chef. Sæbjörg has worked in the restaurant industry and as a culinary arts teacher at VMA and in food-related subjects at Mýrarhúsaskóli.
Sigursveinn Óskar Grétarsson, a mechanical engineer, master mechanic, and electrician, is the new leader in the metal and mechanical engineering fields. Óskar has worked as a chief engineer on a freezer trawler and has also worked in the high-voltage sector, for example, on the overhaul and repair of transformers and related equipment.
