Iðan's podcast, A Moment in Industry, will in the coming semesters cover innovation in Icelandic industry in a variety of ways. Kristjana Guðbrandsdóttir, who leads innovation development at Iðan Education Centre, talks to dynamic people who are developing new solutions and products, and people who have dedicated themselves to supporting innovation.
Kristjana's first guest is Róbert Helgason, CEO of KOT, an Icelandic company that develops leading web software for the construction industry and the real estate market.
Róbert's goal is to offer an interactive solution that provides a good overview for the sale of larger real estate projects both in Iceland and in foreign markets.
Róbert discusses his experience of building the company and the great deal of work that goes into networking with investors at large conferences like SLUSH in Helsinki, his background in the banking sector and how it is useful in developing new solutions, and last but not least, the cultural differences he sometimes feels, as Róbert was raised in the United States.
