Ingibergur Elíasson is no newcomer to the car industry. He has worked in the automotive sector for many years and here he reviews the development of the profession in recent years.
Ingibergur has spent most of his career teaching in the automotive industry, first at the old Iðnskólinn (the Technical College) and then at Borgarholtsskóli. Since 1990, Ingibergur has been a member of the Automotive Terminology Committee, which collects names and terms from the automotive industry. He has also been active in social affairs, including within the Icelandic Teachers' Union and in labour union matters.
Augnablik í iðnaði (A Moment in Industry) recently met with Ingibergur, resulting in a highly entertaining chat about the past, present, and future of the automotive industry.
