GPR and PDR specialist from KECOTABS is visiting
Here is Sigurður, leader of the automotive division, with Kevin and Sam at the company's headquarters in the UK.

Discussions have been ongoing with KecoTabs since last summer about coming to Iceland to hold a course on glue and small repairs (GPR and PDR). Sigurður, head of the automotive department, visited KecoTabs UK to learn more about the company, and an introductory course will be held on 9 March, along with courses for students of Borgarholtsskóli during the same week.

KECO in Iceland

Sigurður, the leader of the automotive department, had noticed the company some time ago and that Keco was offering very good courses related to GPR and PDR. Sigurður therefore contacted KecoTabs UK, which has its headquarters west of London. After a few Teams meetings, it was decided to visit the company in December 2025, where a draft was made for KecoTabs UK to hold courses in Iceland. Two introductory courses will be held on March 9, 2026, one in the afternoon and another in the evening, to give as many people as possible the opportunity to get to know the company and what it has to offer. Later in the semester, on May 18, the plan is for them to return, and a more detailed and longer practical course will be offered. The introductory courses are suitable for both those who have been working with similar equipment and methods as well as for beginners, as Kevin's knowledge is incredibly comprehensive. Therefore, it is important to take advantage of this unique opportunity to learn about the exceptionally high-quality equipment and methods of KecoTabs.

KECO – A Pioneer in GPR and PDR Repair Methods

KecoTabs is a company specializing in so-called Glue Pull Repair (GPR) and Paintless Dent Repair (PDR) – innovative methods for repairing vehicles that make it possible to fix dents and surface damage without disturbing the original paint. The company emphasizes professionalism, precise workmanship, and the use of high-quality equipment that ensures safe and successful results.

KECO is a well-established American manufacturing company with a diverse and strong history spanning over six decades. The company was founded in 1963 as a plastics injection molding company, thereby laying the foundation for the manufacturing knowledge and technical skill that would later become a cornerstone in the development of specialized repair solutions for the automotive industry.

The Beginning of KECO Body Repair Products

The year 2010 marked a turning point when KECO began manufacturing and marketing its own product line under the name KECO Body Repair Products. With this, the company entered the field of auto body repair with a clear vision: to develop and produce high-quality tools for Glue Pull Repair (GPR).

The first glue tabs from KECO quickly caught the attention of professionals for their quality, durability, and performance. They became the foundation for the continued development of a diverse range of GPR tools that enable technicians to work precisely and efficiently without damaging the vehicle's original paint.

Pioneers in GPR Technology

KECO recognized early on that there was a need for a complete system for glue pull repairs – not just individual tabs. The company therefore developed a complete system of pulling tools, lifters, and accessories that work together as an integrated solution. This increased the precision, efficiency, and versatility of repairs and strengthened the position of GPR as an independent and specialized method within auto body repair.

In 2018, KECO formally coined the term “GPR” (Glue Pull Repair) within the company, thus cementing its specialization in this field. With continuous product development and an emphasis on innovation, the company has earned an outstanding reputation among professionals in the collision repair and PDR (Paintless Dent Repair) industries.
