This week, the journeyman's examination in cooking and serving is taking place at the Hotel and Food School in Kópavogur. A total of 25 students are taking the exam in cooking and 12 in serving. Tonight, the journeyman candidates in cooking were responsible for preparing a five-course dinner, which was served by the candidates in serving.

It is a pleasure to mention that among the guests tonight was the Minister of Education and Culture, Lilja Alfreðsdóttir. Lilja has expressed great interest in improving the status of vocational and technical education in Iceland and creating an economy driven by practical skills and ingenuity.
