Intensive training has begun for Sigfús Björgvin Hilmarsson, the Icelandic competitor who will participate in the welding competition at EuroSkills in Herning, Denmark, in September.

Sigfús is working hard under the guidance of Guðmundur Ragnarsson, an expert, and Hilmar Brján, a welding expert at Iðan.

The three of them have been reviewing the competition rules and have now acquired the same type of welding machine that will be used in the competition itself in Herning to ensure the best possible adaptation to the conditions awaiting Sigfús at the venue.

EuroSkills is an important platform for vocational and trade skills to demonstrate quality, professionalism, and technical knowledge.

The goal of Iceland's participation in EuroSkills is to enhance the skills of young people, promote Icelandic industry on an international stage, and strengthen ties with the business community.
