Actions speak for themselves

A group of interested students from Kársnesskóli and Hólabrekkuskóli visit Iðan

The project 'Actions Speak Louder Than Words', which has been run by the IÐAN Education Centre for several years, reaches out to interested students from primary schools in partner schools in the capital area, inviting them to visit and try their hand at tasks related to the trades.

At the beginning of March, around 30 students from Kársnes School and Hólabrekka School learned about tasks related to the printing and media trades and the automotive trades at IÐAN's premises.

Some of the students wanted to learn the basics of the graphic trades. They designed posters with text and images and sent them to be printed at Litróf. They received excellent guidance from printers and got to know the working environment of printers, bookbinders, and graphic media specialists. They then had the opportunity to record the interviews in this video, direct the production, and edit it all together.

The students who wanted to learn about the automotive trades were given a very exciting task and assembled their own electric cars. In doing so, their work touched upon all three automotive trades: auto mechanics, auto body painting, and auto body repair.
