Recognition of prior learning is a process where the knowledge and skills you have acquired through work are assessed and validated.
The goal is to utilize the skills you have already acquired, so you don't have to start your studies from scratch, but rather receive formal recognition of your skills and shorten your study time where applicable. The study advisors at Iðan Education Centre provide participants with support and guidance throughout the entire process.
Who is Recognition of Prior Learning for?
Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) is suitable for those who have worked in a trade and want to complete their studies but lack formal recognition of their skills. RPL is also ideal for anyone who has been in school and dropped out for some reason and now wants to complete their education. The conditions for participating in RPL are being 23 years of age and having 3 years of confirmed work experience in the relevant trade. After completing the RPL process, it is possible to continue your studies and complete a journeyman's examination. Many have taken advantage of this and are working today as professionals in their field.
