Vilborg Helga Harðardóttir has been hired as the Managing Director of Iðunn Education Centre.
Vilborg Helga will take up the position on 2 September.
The owners of Iðan are: The Federation of Icelandic Industries, Samiðn, MATVÍS, GRAFÍA, FIT, VM, The Icelandic Automobile Association, The Icelandic Travel Industry Association, and The Master Builders' Association. Iðan's primary role is to improve the skills of companies and employees in industrial sectors. Iðan serves the continuing and further education of industrial trades in a targeted manner and is a leader in the validation of prior learning in Iceland.
Vilborg Helga has extensive management experience, including at Já hf. and Sýn hf. She holds an MBA from Reykjavík University and a BA in Psychology from the University of Iceland, in addition to having experience working in the financial market.
