Do you want to compete at EuroSkills, the European championship of vocational skills?

EuroSkills is the largest competition of its kind in Europe, where around 600 participants get the opportunity to shine. There are 38 competition categories, covering a wide range of skills, from carpentry and hairdressing to digital design and programming.

EuroSkills 2025 will be held in Herning, Denmark, from 9-13 September, and for the first time, the automotive industry will send a representative to compete on behalf of Iceland in Automobile Technology.

Do you want to participate on behalf of Iceland?

The event will be managed by Iðan Education Centre, and we are now looking for a group of interested individuals who would like to take part in the competition. From this group, one participant will be selected to compete for Iceland. The participant must be 25 years old or younger during the year of the competition, and it is desirable that they have completed their journeyman's examination and have some work experience in the trade.

EuroSkills is a demanding competition, and the participant must be prepared to work hard in preparation for it. Whoever is chosen will receive special training from a so-called Expert, a specialist who accompanies the participant to the competition. It is desirable that the individual has a good basic knowledge of most aspects of vehicle maintenance, repair, and diagnostics, but can also work well under pressure and has a strong desire to learn new things.

It is good to keep in mind that EuroSkills is not just a competition but also an ideal opportunity to discover new things, get to know the latest technology, and observe the best future tradespeople in their field.
