Adventure in Tallinn with Erasmus+
Baker Ástrós Elísa certainly added to her bank of experience
Upon graduating as a baker, Ástrós was feeling professionally fatigued and wanted a new experience that would strengthen her as a professional. She therefore looked into Erasmus+ for newly qualified tradespeople and set her sights on Copenhagen. However, things developed in such a way that she ended up going to Tallinn, Estonia, and she does not regret that decision.
She says Tallinn was a great experience. She went there alone, knew no one, and had to rely completely on herself. She worked at a small family-run bakery where there was a strong sense of unity and innovation was highly valued. She says it was a valuable experience to see how willing the owners were to make changes, develop new product lines, and use new processing methods.
Ástrós encourages other newly qualified tradespeople to explore the opportunities offered by Erasmus+, as it broadens horizons and strengthens individuals as professionals in their field.
