The heads of departments at IÐAN Education Centre travelled around East Iceland where they presented the centre's activities, visited local companies, and talked to members about continuing education and their needs.
Numerous companies where union members work were visited, including; Héraðsprent, Skógarafurðir, Vallanes, Alcoa, Miðás, Lagarfossvirkjun, Sesam artisan bakery, Launafl, Bílaverkstæði Austurlands, and more.
The visits provided strong insight into the situation, challenges, and needs of union members in East Iceland.
Yesterday, Iðan invited union members and those interested in continuing education in industry to an open discussion at Austurbrú in Reyðarfjörður.
The visit to East Iceland is part of Iðan's ongoing work to strengthen ties with the business community throughout the country, promote its course offerings, and encourage increased participation in continuing education by meeting the needs of each region.
