Certification Course for Structural Designers
A course for construction designers who wish to obtain certification from the Icelandic Construction Authority to create general and special drawings, cf. provisions of Articles 25 and 26 of the Act on Construction No. 160/2010, will be held in November 2021. The course is taught via distance learning.
A course for construction designers seeking certification from the Housing and Construction Authority to create general and special drawings, cf. provisions of Articles 25 and 26 of the Act on Construction, No. 160/2010, will be held in November 2021 as a distance learning course. Lectures will be made available on Monday, 15 November, and will remain open until 27 November. The course concludes with an exam on Saturday, 27 November (all dates are subject to change).
The course fee is ISK 95,000, and ISK 60,000 for those attending the course for continuing education without taking the exam.
Applications must be submitted on the IÐAN Education Centre website along with supporting documents no later than Tuesday, 3 November 2021.
Supporting documents are:
- A copy of the applicant's diploma
- A certificate from the Ministry of Industries and Innovation regarding the right to a professional title
- A certificate of 3 years' work experience, cf. Paragraph 1, Article 26 of the Act on Construction
