Certification Course for Structural Designers
A course for construction designers seeking certification from the Icelandic Construction Authority to create master and special drawings, cf. provisions of Articles 25 and 26 of the Act on Construction No. 160/2010, will be held in March 2021. The course is taught via distance learning.
A course for construction designers seeking certification from the Icelandic Construction Authority to prepare general and special drawings, cf. Articles 25 and 26 of the Act on Structures No. 160/2010, will be held in March 2021, and the course will be conducted via distance learning. Lectures will be made available on Monday, 15 March, and will remain open up to and including 27 March. The course concludes with an on-site electronic exam on Saturday, 27 March 2021 (all dates are subject to change).
The course fee is ISK 95,000, and ISK 60,000 for those attending the course for continuing education without taking the exam.
Applications must be submitted on the IÐAN Education Centre website along with supporting documents no later than Tuesday, 2 March 2021.
Supporting documents are:
- A copy of the applicant's diploma
- A certificate from the Ministry of Industries and Innovation regarding the right to a professional title
- A certificate of 3 years' work experience, cf. Paragraph 1, Article 26 of the Act on Structures
