Certification Course for Structural Designers
A course for structural designers seeking certification from the Icelandic Construction Authority to create general and special drawings, cf. provisions of Articles 25 and 26 of the Act on Structures No. 160/2010, will be held in November 2020. The course is taught via distance learning.
A course for construction designers seeking certification from the Icelandic Construction Authority to create master and special drawings, cf. Articles 25 and 26 of the Act on Structures No. 160/2010, will be held in November 2020 as a distance learning course. Lectures will be made available on Monday, 2 November, and will remain open up to and including 21 November. The course concludes with an on-site electronic exam on Saturday, 21 November 2020 (all dates are subject to change).
The course fee is ISK 95,000, and ISK 60,000 for those attending the course for continuing education without an exam. The application deadline is Monday, 12 October.
Applications must be submitted to IÐAN, completed, along with:
- a copy of the applicant's diploma
- a certificate from the Ministry of Industries and Innovation regarding the right to a professional title
- a certificate(s) of 3 years' work experience, cf. Paragraph 1, Article 26 of the Act on Structures
