English Through Sustainability - Sustainable Development Goal Cases
In this ESL lesson plan for adults, students watch and listen to a video report about the United Nations’ 17 sustainable development goals. In the first preview section, students do activities on social inequality, what it means, and images related to the environment and equality. In the second preview section, students work on the impacts of gender and income inequality and do an activity on adjective + noun collocations. Students then do some listening/viewing comprehension activities based on the video. The first post-viewing section includes an activity on quotes from the video, as well as past simple verb forms. The second post-viewing section prompts students to come up with their own sustainable development project and its ripple effects using some past simple verbs they learned in the lesson.
