English Through Sustainability - Digital Transformations
In this ESL lesson plan for adults, students watch and listen to a video report about digital transformation, its procedures, examples of digital transformation, and how it can impact us and certain industries. The preview activities include definitions of digital transformation, synonyms, and examples, as well as key terms/parts of speech associated with digital transformation, such as improvement, adoption, interaction, disruption, and emergence vocabulary. The second vocabulary page features more practice with these nouns, in addition to some sentences about digital transformation containing vocabulary in the video. Students then do some listening comprehension activities based on the video. The viewing follow-up sections include activities based on a quote from the speaker in the video, who uses a sentence that contains “used to + base verb”, and students then complete several follow-up activities using this grammatical form, including both closed and open exercises.
